Welcome Back!

09-26-2021Pastor's CornerRev. Robert J. Deehan, V.F.

WELCOME! We welcome in a special way folks who have not been back to Holy Family Church for a while. Whether it’s been because of COVID, loss of habit, busyness, doubts about the faith or some other reason, we’re glad you’re here with us! Each of us is on a unique journey in life. Every week here at Holy Family we celebrate His presence with us every step along our way. As a family of faith, we value each other’s presence as fellow companions on the journey.

We pray for and with each other, and demonstrate the importance of God and community in our life. When everyone was allowed to return to Mass after the “shut-down” at the height of the pandemic, so many parishioners reported how much they appreciated being able to come back to church, to see familiar faces, to worship as a family of faith again, and to receive Jesus in Holy Communion. As a “new year” begins this September, this Welcome Weekend is our way to formally welcome folks back and celebrate our parish as a vital faith family that is such a source of blessing in so many ways.

As you enjoy one or more of the special events of this weekend (highlighted in this bulletin), please pray for those who have ventured back to Holy Family. Ask the Lord to bless them and draw them ever closer to Himself. If I or one of our staff members can be of help to you in reconnecting with the Church, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Our contact information can be found on the back of the bulletin and on our website. The website has so much more for you to explore.

I pray that the Lord will do wonderful things in you and through you as you allow Jesus to be your Companion on the journey and let His Holy Spirit be your Guide. The Lord has great things in store for you and me. All we need do is allow Him the opportunity to make them happen!
